A new benchmark. Autonomous, measurable, real.
On the short layout of the Marzaglia circuit (Modena), an autonomous vehicle has officially outpaced the best lap ever recorded by a human driver.
The car: a Dallara AV-24 by Unimore Racing, running on the HIPERT full-stack autonomy platform — a real-time system that processes every signal millisecond by millisecond: perception layers, control paths, and vehicle state.
The outcome? A lap faster than the Lamborghini Huracán STO driven by Daan Pijl (0:59.28).
Beyond performance, this is proof of measurable autonomy — where every decision is traceable, explainable, and verifiable.
